Visual anatomy & craft review
Crazy Punky is a tilted three-dimensional shadow-box ransom-tile display: each letter sits on its own dark tile, tilted a few degrees in alternating directions, with a hard offset shadow under the tile and a white chalky edge around the shape. The tilt grows the word's box and the tiles read as cut paper letters. It needs roughly 30 mm for the tile edge and the shadow to read, and it is best as a flat two-colour print on white, or a one-colour cut file where the tiles are separate pieces.

A ransom-tile display turns an editorial page into a cut-paper statement, which is what a protest feature wants. The tile edge holds at 40 pt on a coated page, and two flat inks keep the shadows from merging with the tiles.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Header 40 pt with 8 mm tile clearance, body 9/13 pt over two columns of 82 mm, 18 mm margins and a 12 mm head. Pull quote 32 pt with 8 mm above and 8 mm below. Caption 8/11 pt in a 40 mm outer-margin rail.
Pre-production check
At 32 pt on the pull quote the chalky edge merges with the tile and the quote reads as a dark block. Keep the face at 40 pt and above, and proof one spread at 1:1.
A ransom-tile display announces a themed party through the lettering alone. The tilt holds at 44 mm on an invite, and two flat inks print the invite and the banner as one set.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invite A6, word 44 mm with 10 mm tile clearance, details 8/11 pt, 14 mm margins. Topper 130 x 110 mm, word 48 mm with a 6 mm stick slot and 12 mm clear. Banner 1500 x 400 mm, word 150 mm, 30 mm safe edge.
Pre-production check
A 130 mm topper cut as separate tiles leaves gaps that read as missing letters. Weld the tiles to a backing shape, and test one before the party.
A ransom-tile display reads as a threat note rather than a cartoon monster, which is what a themed fright night wants at the gate. The tilt holds at 120 mm on a poster, and two flat inks print the poster and the tickets in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Poster A2, word 120 mm with 14 mm tile clearance, details 40 mm, 20 mm margins. Ticket 100 x 50 mm, word 12 mm, 4 mm perforation. Door sign 250 x 350 mm, word 60 mm, 20 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 100 x 50 mm ticket at 12 mm closes the tile edge and the word reads as a dark bar. Raise the ticket to 18 mm, and print one ticket before the batch.
