Outlined collegiate slab
Typnik Simple is an outlined collegiate slab in navy with a dark offset edge on an off-white sheet: wide capitals with square serifs and an inner keyline, set in two lines between two short rules, with a small tracked line above and a plain line beneath.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The two words are stacked and the drawing is a collegiate slab presented as an outline: the serifs are square, the bowls are angular, and a pale gap runs inside each letter against a dark offset edge, so the block reads as a two-colour applique or as a single-colour outline. That construction sets a size floor for the keyline, and the offset edge is what gives the face its printed, badge-like depth. The two rules above and below are plain furniture, and the tracked lines are product copy that name the style. Because the letters are wide and heavy, the face suits a banner, a shirt and a sign, and the outline means a buyer can print it in one colour on dark stock or in two on light, which is the flexibility the format is sold for.

An outlined collegiate slab reads as school kit, and the keyline lets one banner carry two colours cleanly. The keyline is what sells the two-colour print.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print 1,300 by 480 mm: the team at 160 mm cap height, the fixture in a 32 mm slab, and a 6 mm keyline. Keep 30 mm margins and print two colours on light vinyl.
Pre-production check
Check the banner at ten metres, where a 6 mm keyline can vanish; keep it above 8 mm. Confirm the 32 mm fixture reads at five metres and that the offset edge stays even.
An outline slab prints as two passes and looks like official kit, which suits a class shirt for a group photo. A class shirt needs a mark that reads in a crowd.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 250 mm chest graphic: the class at 60 mm cap height, the year at 28 mm, and two inks with a 3 mm keyline. Keep the narrowest counter at 4 mm and place the graphic 80 mm below the collar.
Pre-production check
Check the screen at actual mesh, where a 3 mm keyline can fill; thicken it to 4 mm. Wash-test one shirt and confirm the offset edge stays registered after five cycles.
A collegiate outline gives a club a sign in the language of the sport, and the heavy serifs hold on a clubhouse wall. A clubhouse wall is read from the car park.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Fabricate a 900 by 320 mm panel: the club at 110 mm cap height, the hours in a 22 mm slab, and a 5 mm keyline. Keep 24 mm margins and specify a matte finish.
Pre-production check
Check the panel at 110 mm, where the keyline can disappear in metal; keep it above 6 mm. Confirm the 22 mm hours read at three metres and that the panel clears the door.
