Narrow tall looping calligraphy with a light stroke and a long entry curve
Brittany is narrow tall calligraphy in which the ascenders loop high, the bodies stay slim and the entry stroke curves in from well below the baseline.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The capital B opens with a light curve that begins under the baseline and curls up into a tall narrow loop before the stem closes, and the letters after it keep that slimness: the r and the i hold thin stems, the double l rises into two narrow loops, the t is crossed by a light bar and the a closes a small counter. Weight is light with a slight swell on the downstrokes, so the phrase reads as pen work rather than as a heavy display script, and the narrow proportions let a long name fill a tall card without stacking. Ends taper to fine points and the baseline holds level. The grey ground, the white ink and the two small captions are presentation; the script is the word.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Brittany’s stroke geometry.
The narrow tall loops fill a portrait card with one word, and the light stroke keeps the greeting quiet above a photographic ground at 30 pt.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the greeting at 30 pt on a 105 by 148 mm card, set the sender in a 7 pt sans at the foot, and leave 20 mm at the top so the tallest loop is not clipped by the trim.
Pre-production check
A light stroke over a mid-tone photograph fades; check the proof and place the word on the calm area rather than thickening the script.
The slim silhouette reads as an engraved signature on a card, and the light stroke reproduces cleanly in one colour at 16 pt on a business card.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the studio name at 16 pt on a 50 by 90 mm card, set the services in a 6 pt sans, and leave 9 mm of clearance so the tall loops stay inside the card edge.
Pre-production check
A hairline under 0.15 mm breaks on uncoated card; print one card on the actual stock and thicken the joins rather than the loops.
The tall loops read at a distance on a board, and the light contrast keeps a welcome sign elegant against a landscape at 12 cm.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the greeting at 12 cm on a 600 by 500 mm board, set both names at 7 cm beneath it, and leave 12 cm of margin so the entry curve stays on the board.
Pre-production check
Painted hairlines read thin outdoors; check the sign in daylight and pull the brush slower on the joins rather than reloading for the loops.
