Visual anatomy & craft review
Betha is a squat, ultra-wide urban block family supplied in Solid, Outline and Extruded styles drawn to layer, with pill-slit counters, heavy geometric bowls and squared shoulders. Because the three styles share exact metrics, a designer can stack outline over solid or extrude behind it and get a predictable registration, which is the point of the family. Width is extreme, so a word needs a wide container and a short letter count; the extruded style also adds depth downward, requiring extra vertical space. It reads at 30 mm and up and is a poster and apparel face.

Layered styles give a brand a puff-print look without a printer improvising, since outline over solid registers exactly. Wide heavy forms read at 30 mm on a beanie patch where a narrow face would disappear.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Chest print 260 x 120 mm, word 55 mm, 50 mm from the collar. Beanie patch 60 x 40 mm, word 10 mm, 4 mm woven border. Sticker 80 x 50 mm die-cut, outline 1.5 mm over solid, 3 mm die margin.
Pre-production check
Puff print expands roughly 0.8 mm and an outline set 1.5 mm from the fill will close on a wide letter. Increase the offset to 2 mm for puff, and press one sample on the actual fabric.
Ultra-wide blocks fill a square sleeve with one word, which is the fastest way to make a mix cover look deliberate. The outline style gives a second colour from a single ink separation.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Cover 312 x 312 mm plus 3 mm bleed, word across the full width at 200 mm, credits 8 pt. DJ visual 1920 x 1080, word 900 px wide, safe margin 6 percent. Poster A2, word 480 mm, details 22/28 pt.
Pre-production check
Layered outline files exported separately misregister on a digital press by up to 0.2 mm and the whole design looks blurred. Supply a single file with both layers locked, or offset the outline deliberately to make the offset part of the design.
Heavy wide blocks survive glare and distance at a summer event, and the extruded style gives a banner depth without a photograph. Wide letterforms fill a long banner without repeating the word.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Banner 2000 x 600 mm, word 380 mm extruded, 120 mm margins. Poster 500 x 700 mm, word 400 mm, 40 mm margins. Towel label 60 x 30 mm, word 8 mm, 3 mm woven border.
Pre-production check
Extruded depth adds about 25 percent to the artwork height and gets clipped on a fixed banner size. Measure the full extruded box before ordering, and check the banner tensioned for a day for sag across a wide word.
