Tall blade-like capitals with broad upper horns
Banas is a gothic display face whose spurs are drawn as curling flames: each stem throws out two or three tongues of fire, and the whole word is built symmetrically around its centre.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
BANAS fills the frame in a pale bone tone over a dark photograph of a figure with raised arms, and the letterforms are built for symmetry: the outer stems of the B and the S throw long flames outward, the A carries a spike through its apex, and the counters are narrow triangles. The decoration is dense at the edges and quiet in the middle, which keeps the word readable while making the silhouette look like a crest. Two lines under the word name the style, and a paragraph of small type at the foot describes it in the language of the genre. Small round marks sit in the lower corners. The face is a poster and merch cut for metal and dark fantasy, and it needs a black ground and a large size, because the flame spurs collapse into a blur at anything smaller than a headline.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Banas’s stroke geometry.
The flaming silhouette reads as a mark from across a room, and the pale letters hold over a dark photograph without a panel behind them.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A2 poster: set the headline at 150 pt across one row, keep 34 mm of clear ground beneath before the line-up at 13 pt, and hold 30 mm of margin so the outer flames stay inside the sheet.
Pre-production check
Long flame spurs break on cheap stock; print one poster at the final size and check the tips before the run.
The symmetrical build gives a cover a crest instead of a title treatment, and the narrow counters keep a long title legible at thumbnail size.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 140 by 216 mm cover: set the title at 60 pt across two rows, keep 22 mm of clear ground beneath before the editor at 10 pt, and hold 16 mm from the flames to the spine edge.
Pre-production check
Fine tongues fill in on matte lamination; print one cover with the finish and check the edges before the print run.
The shape holds as a one-colour screen print, and a vertical symmetrical mark sits well on a shirt where a wide wordmark would wrap.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 260 by 380 mm chest print: set the mark at 240 mm tall, keep 30 mm of clear ground beneath before the catalogue line at 9 pt, and hold 26 mm from the flames to the print edge.
Pre-production check
Coarse mesh closes the flame tips; print one pull on the actual shirt and check the outer spurs before the run.
