Visual anatomy & craft review
Bakery Kitchen is a tall bouncy brush-pen display in mixed case with thick downstrokes, thin upstrokes, curled n and y hooks and no cursive joins, so a line reads as writing on a chalkboard menu rather than as a script. The disconnection is what keeps it legible at 10 mm, and the bounce keeps a short phrase from looking typeset. It needs roughly 18 mm for the brush taper to read, and it is best in cocoa or caramel on white, or in white on a slate-board ground.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Bakery Kitchen’s stroke geometry.
A disconnected brush pen reads as writing on a kitchen label, which is what a bake sale and a home baker's card need. The curled hooks give it warmth without the joins that break on textured paper, and the face stays legible at 10 mm on a small tag.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Tag 50 x 90 mm, word 10 mm with a 5 mm hole and 6 mm clear card. Recipe card 105 x 148 mm, title 18 mm, steps 8/11 pt, 10 mm margins. Note 105 x 148 mm, greeting 16 mm, message 8/11 pt.
Pre-production check
A 50 mm tag with a curly descender near the punch tears at the string within a day. Keep 6 mm of clear card and set the word from the descender, and check one strung tag before the batch.
Brush-pen lettering reads as a menu written that morning, which is what a small bakery wants on a board. The disconnected letters hold at 20 mm on a cup and 90 mm on a board, so one face covers both, and the bounce keeps the name from looking corporate.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Board 900 x 600 mm, header 90 mm, items 26 mm on a 38 mm pitch, 60 mm margins. Box label 90 x 60 mm, name 14 mm, 4 mm die margin. Cup print 200 x 90 mm, word 20 mm, 12 mm from the rim.
Pre-production check
A cup print wraps a taper and a bouncing baseline tilts visibly, so the bakery name looks crooked on every cup. Use the printer's wrap template, keep the word in a 120 mm band, and check one printed cup.
Warm brush-pen capitals read as a home baker's sign, which is what an autumn bake sale tapes to a table. The taper holds at 200 mm on a poster in one cocoa ink, and the disconnected letters stay legible on a 60 mm pie-tin sticker.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Poster A3, word 200 mm, prices 20/26 pt, 25 mm margins and 15 mm trim. Label 60 x 90 mm, word 12 mm, 4 mm die margin. Sticker 60 mm round, word 9 mm, 3 mm die margin.
Pre-production check
A pie-tin sticker goes on a hot tin and the paper lifts at the rim within minutes. Use a vinyl sticker or apply after cooling, and check one sticker on a warm tin before the sale.
