Shape Studio pairs a brush script with a heavy sans. Brush Script is loose and gestural, Blackstone Sans is blunt and structural, and the seven releases show a studio comfortable with two very different tools.

Brush and heavy sans work well as a pair when the weights are close. Check the stems side by side before setting them on one line.
Slanted brush lettering with heavy dry strokes and a rough edge
Brush Script is slanted brush lettering in which the strokes carry a dry edge, the weight varies from thick to thin within each letter and the ends finish rough, so a word reads as paint laid on with a chisel brush.

Substantial plain capitals with round O and blunt diagonal K and R legs
Blackstone Sans shows black uppercase words over a pale architectural cover, where substantial nearly even strokes form rounded B and O bowls, flat arms and blunt diagonal legs on the K and R, and the two title lines keep a straightforward block rhythm without swashes or outlines.

Heavy slanted display with outline
Moonlight is a forward-sloping heavy display in black on white: fat mixed-case letters drawn as a pale face with a bold contour and a black offset shadow, with a round badge at the upper left, a rule above the word and a row of tracked notes at the foot.

Very heavy contrast mixed case with narrow slot counters and rounded r terminals
Doviera is a wide display face with thick vertical stems, hairline joins and tight apertures, set here in navy on cream so the contrast does the luxury work without a single ornament.

Heavy rounded childlike lettering
Playful is a heavy rounded handwritten face in dark brown on cream: fat even strokes, a large x-height, round bowls and a few slanting stems that keep a very friendly face from looking mechanical.

Chunky playful print with organic shapes

Broad curled block lettering with an outline and a hard offset shadow
Happy Birthday is broad block lettering with curled terminals, drawn as an outline with a hard offset shadow, so a phrase reads as a decorated sign rather than a plain display face.
