Fine grain and micro-texture excel in 300 DPI print, sublimation, and screen print rather than small vinyl weeding.
Visual anatomy & craft review
Warm Thanksgiving is a stout, disconnected marker print in mixed case with thick rounded strokes, wide counters and a friendly uneven rhythm that reads as chalk on a board or a marker on a kraft card. Because the letters do not join and the weight is even, the face weeds quickly in vinyl and prints at 12 mm on a tag, while the thick strokes still hold at 90 mm on a porch sign. It needs a warm ground to look intentional, and it is a craft, card and label face rather than a text face.

Chunky marker print reads as lettering done by hand on a board, which is the tone of a harvest table. Disconnected letters cut fast in vinyl for a sign a family makes themselves.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Sign 600 x 400 mm, word 110 mm, 40 mm margins and 20 mm clear of the frame. Card 105 x 148 mm, greeting 16 mm, message 7/10 pt. Label 60 x 45 mm, word 9 mm, 3 mm top arc.
Pre-production check
Vinyl applied to a painted board lifts at the rounded stroke ends if the paint is not fully cured. Wait the paint's full cure time, press each stroke for twenty seconds, and check one label before the set.
A marker hand reads as a note left on the counter, which is what a host thank-you is imitating. Thick strokes hold at 9 mm on a small tag where a fine script would vanish.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 105 x 148 mm, greeting 16 mm, message 7/10 pt, 12 mm margins. Tag 45 x 80 mm, word 9 mm, hole 5 mm clear and 3 mm trim. Recipe card 105 x 148 mm, title 14 mm, method 8/11 pt.
Pre-production check
Recipe cards get handled in a kitchen and a matt uncoated card marks immediately. Print on a coated one-side card with an unprinted reverse, and check one card after a week of use.
Marker warmth carries a winter gathering without a festive graphic, which suits a quiet holiday table. The face holds a two-word greeting at 20 mm.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Sign 400 x 300 mm, word 70 mm, 30 mm margins. Card 90 x 50 mm, name 10 mm on a 5 mm baseline, table number 4 mm opposite. Tag 50 x 90 mm, name 9 mm, hole 5 mm clear and 3 mm trim margin.
Pre-production check
Table cards are read at a seated angle across a table, and a 10 mm marker word with tight spacing is legible while a two-word name is not. Measure the longest guest name before choosing the size.
