Black-metal jagged logo display
Vladmere is a black-metal logo face in lime green on black: letters built from thin jagged blades that lean and intersect, a mirrored grey copy behind the word, and a barcode-style badge at the foot that gives the specimen the look of a record sleeve.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The word reads as a thicket rather than a line of type: each letter is a set of thin strokes with long horizontal barbs, the strokes taper into points, and the vertical rhythm is broken by barbs that reach across neighbouring letters. Behind the main word a grey mirrored copy doubles the shape, so the lockup reads as a symmetrical sigil, which is the genre's convention. The green on black is the only colour event on the page, and the rest of the specimen is deliberately printed matter: a small tracked line at the top, a barcode block, and fine print at the foot, so the whole image imitates a cassette or a seven-inch sleeve. Because the strokes are thin and the barbs are long, the face only works at large sizes, which the sample respects.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Vladmere’s stroke geometry.
A jagged black-metal logo sets a genre instantly and gives a small show poster an authenticity that a horror display face cannot, because the shape itself is the convention.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A2 portrait: the logo at 190 mm wide, the line-up in a 10 mm gothic, and the venue at 30 mm. Keep the logo on flat black with 40 mm of clear space below, and print the green as a spot colour rather than a process build.
Pre-production check
Check the barbs at full size, where a point under 0.5 mm vanishes; thicken the thin ends for print. Confirm the 10 mm line-up reads at two metres and that the mirrored copy does not make the word harder to parse than intended.
A logo-grade face gives a genre history an authentic cover, and using the mirrored construction as a cover device ties the book to the records it discusses.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the title at 170 mm wide on a 240 mm cover with a 20 percent grey echo behind it, the subtitle in a 9 pt gothic beneath, and the imprint in 7 pt at the foot. Print two inks on a matte black stock.
Pre-production check
Check the title at thumbnail size, where the jagged mass becomes a green smear; keep the subtitle legible so the book is identifiable in a shop listing. Confirm the imprint survives the matte stock and that the echo does not overlap the subtitle.
A jagged logo suits a record sleeve, and the mirroring can be printed as a second, darker ink to give depth without a photograph.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 300 mm sleeve: the logo at 240 mm wide, the mirrored copy in 25 percent tint offset 4 mm behind, the track list in a 6 pt gothic at the lower right, and a barcode block at 25 mm. Keep the logo clear of the sleeve's spine by 15 mm.
Pre-production check
Check the two inks register within 0.2 mm, since the echo depends on a precise offset. Confirm the 6 pt track list reads on the sleeve and that the barcode is above the minimum scannable size for the retailer.
