Letterform structure
of Small Bubble.

Small Bubble is a hand-outlined comic display face: each chubby capital is drawn with a warm, slightly irregular contour and a heavier outline than fill, so the letters read as stickers peeled off a sheet. Bowls are nearly circular and counters stay open, which keeps small sizes friendly rather than muddy. Because the outline is part of the glyph rather than a stroke applied in software, it reproduces predictably on a cutting machine and on a heat transfer, and the face carries short phrases at tag scale without the visual noise of a distressed texture.

A drawn outline makes a brand mark look like merchandise from the same world as the stickers it sells, which is exactly the signal an indie sticker shop wants. Round counters hold at 12 mm, so the same artwork works on a mailer seal and on a shop sign.

Logo 100 mm wide, 18 mm cap-height. Hangtag 50 x 90 mm, name 10 mm, 4 mm around the hole, 3 mm trim margin. Mailer seal 38 mm circle, name 7 mm, 2 mm keyline, 3 mm die margin.

Pre-production check

On a 38 mm seal the built-in outline doubles with the die edge and the letters look outlined twice. Either remove the keyline from the artwork or place the seal text 4 mm inside the die, and check one printed sheet before cutting.

Birthday

Toddler backpack tag, snack-cup decal and party thank-you card

The cartoon contour reads instantly to a two-year-old and reassures a parent that the bag belongs to a child, which is the whole job of a backpack tag. Heavy outlines survive being handled, wiped and stuffed into a bag, where a hairline display face would wear off.

Pre-production check

Vinyl decals on a reusable cup shrink about 2 percent after hot washing, so a name set flush to the cut edge will peel at the corners. Keep 3 mm of clear vinyl, and hand-wash one decal for a week before ordering a batch.

Classroom valentine card, friendship-bracelet tag and lunchbox sticker

Soft comic bubbles carry affection without the adult register of a heart-shaped script, which suits a card exchanged between eight-year-olds. The open counters mean a short name stays readable when a child has written over the printed area.

Pre-production check

Printed cards are folded from 250 gsm and the built-in outline of a bold glyph can crack along the fold if the greeting crosses it. Keep the display line 12 mm clear of the fold and score before folding, then crease one sample.
