Visual anatomy & craft review
Rustic Melody is a duo of a handcrafted organic serif and an airy signature calligraphy: the serif carries uneven edges that read as cut paper, short bracketed serifs and a warm irregular rhythm, while the calligraphy runs a light stroke with joined letters and long tapered exits for names. The pair lets one card carry a printed headline and a signed line, and the light calligraphy is the weaker element in print. The serif needs roughly 22 mm and the calligraphy 26 mm for their detail to read.

An organic serif with an airy signature gives a rustic wedding a printed headline and a hand-signed name in one palette. The serif sets the headline at 20 pt, and the calligraphy signs the couple at 28 pt.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invitation 130 x 180 mm, names 28 pt with 12 mm exit clearance, details 9/13 pt, 18 mm margins. Menu 120 x 210 mm, header 18 pt, courses 9/12 pt. Order of service 105 x 148 mm, text 9/12 pt.
Pre-production check
At 9 pt in the order of service the calligraphy's hairlines silt and the names read as pale marks. Use smooth stock or set the text in the serif at 9.5 pt, and proof one booklet before the set.
An organic serif with an airy signature reads as a hand-made label rather than a corporate mark. The serif holds the name at 24 mm, and the calligraphy signs the card at 26 pt in the same order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 85 x 55 mm, serif 24 mm with 6 mm edge clearance, calligraphy 26 pt, 6 mm margins. Box print 150 x 100 mm, serif 34 mm, calligraphy 30 pt, 10 mm margins. Wrap band 200 x 40 mm, serif 16 mm, 6 mm margins.
Pre-production check
On a 200 x 40 mm band the calligraphy crosses the fold and splits when wrapped. Keep the word 8 mm clear of the crease, and wrap one band before the order.
An organic serif with an airy signature gives a harvest dinner a printed menu rather than a typed one. The serif holds at 18 pt on a menu, and the calligraphy signs the banner at 120 mm in the same pass.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Menu 120 x 210 mm, serif 18 pt, courses 9/12 pt, 15 mm margins. Table card 90 x 50 mm, name 12 pt, 4 mm margins. Banner 1200 x 400 mm, calligraphy 120 mm with 14 mm exit clearance, 25 mm safe edge.
Pre-production check
On a 1200 x 400 mm banner the tapered exits run past the printed area and get trimmed. Keep the word inside a 25 mm margin with 14 mm extra to the right, and inspect one banner before hanging.
