Rustic is a romantic calligraphy script with oversized heart-loop swashes: a moderate contrast stroke, a shallow slant, and swashes that curl into a large heart shape at the start and end of a line. The hearts are the design and they grow the word in both directions, so any centred layout needs side clearance, and the hairlines break first on textured stock. It needs roughly 30 mm for the heart loop and the join to read, and it is best in one warm ink on smooth card, or a foil impression above 40 pt where the heart loop still turns.
