Visual anatomy & craft review
Embroidery is an airy high-contrast calligraphy script with a grand curled E, shaded upright downstrokes and small inward-coiled spirals inside the m, d and y, supplied with PUA alternates. The coils are delicate, so the face needs roughly 20 mm before they read as spirals rather than blots, and the upright stance keeps a long name inside a narrow column. It is a hoop, card and label face, best in one dark ink on a soft ground, and it pairs naturally with craft and textile subjects.

Coiled spirals give a wedding suite a handmade register without a rustic font, and the upright stance keeps long names inside a narrow card. Contrast holds at 20 mm.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invitation 120 x 180 mm, names 26 mm, details 9/13 pt, 15 mm margins. Vow book 110 x 160 mm, cover 22 mm. Tag 45 x 80 mm, names 8 mm, hole 5 mm clear.
Pre-production check
A 45 mm favour tag cannot hold a coil at 8 mm and the spiral closes into a dot. Use the plain alternate on tags, and keep the coiled forms for the invitation and vow book.
Spiral coils read as embroidered detail drawn into the lettering, which suits a textile studio. The face holds a short brand name at 12 mm on a kit box.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Label 70 x 50 mm, word 12 mm, 4 mm die margin. Box 200 x 150 x 80 mm, word 34 mm on the lid with 25 mm margins. Card 105 x 148 mm, heading 16 mm, details 7/10 pt, 12 mm margins.
Pre-production check
Kit boxes are printed on kraft board and a high-contrast script at 34 mm fills its hairlines. Request a proof on the actual board, and increase the word size rather than the weight if the contrast collapses.
Coiled lettering reads as a hand-lettered hoop backing, which is what a spring craft market sells. The face holds at 16 mm on a card where a heavier script would look industrial.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Hoop 200 mm diameter, word 45 mm, 25 mm clear of the inner ring. Label 60 x 40 mm, word 8 mm, 4 mm die margin. Card 105 x 148 mm, heading 16 mm, list 7/10 pt.
Pre-production check
Hoop lettering is often stitched, and a coil under 0.8 mm converts to a single thread run that breaks. If the design is stitched, redraw coils at 1 mm minimum and run a test sew-out on scrap linen.
