Visual anatomy & craft review
Simple Sunday is a fine monoline calligraphy script in lowercase that links words through an inline heart loop and finishes with straight or spiral end tails. The stroke is a single even line, so the face plots and foils predictably, and the inline heart sits inside the connection rather than floating between words, which keeps the phrase a single piece of lettering. It needs roughly 14 mm for the heart to read as a heart, and it belongs on keepsakes — tumblers, cards, tags — set in one colour against a soft ground.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Simple Sunday’s stroke geometry.
The inline heart turns two names into one mark without a separate ampersand, which is exactly what a couple's tumbler needs. A monoline plots and transfers cleanly on a curved surface.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Tumbler wrap 200 x 90 mm, names 14 mm with the heart at cap-height, 8 mm from the rim. Mug wrap 200 x 85 mm, names 16 mm. Sleeve print 120 x 40 mm, names 8 mm.
Pre-production check
A curved tumbler distorts the heart where the surface rolls away, and the loop can close into a dot. Check the heart at the wrap's flattest area, and proof one tumbler before the pair is engraved.
An inline heart is the whole sentiment, so a small card can be quiet and still specific. The monoline holds at 12 mm on a ceramic dish transfer where a shaded script would break.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 85 x 130 mm, names 12 mm, message 6/9 pt, 10 mm margins. Dish 90 mm diameter, word 12 mm centred, 20 mm clear of the rim. Tote panel 240 x 240 mm, names 24 mm.
Pre-production check
Ceramic transfers fire at high temperature and a fine monoline under 0.4 mm disappears. Ask for the minimum fired line, keep the names at 12 mm or above, and check one fired dish before the batch.
A single linked phrase with a heart reads as a personal sign-off, which is what a gift tag is for. Even weight means it prints cleanly at 10 mm on a small tag.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Tag 40 x 80 mm, phrase 9 mm on one line, hole 4 mm clear, 3 mm trim margin. Holder 90 x 55 mm, phrase 8 mm, slot 3 mm. Print 210 x 297 mm, phrase 40 mm, 30 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 40 mm tag has very little room, and an inline heart at 9 mm makes the phrase longer than the tag. Set the whole phrase on one line and measure it before ordering dies, or split it to two tags.
