The word is set once and the drawing is a monoline script at heavy weight: the stroke is even all the way through, the loops are fat and rounded, and the joins are drawn as solid links, which is what gives the lettering its retro warmth. The heart in one bowl is the single decorative gesture, and the long swash that leaves the last letter and swings back under the word is what makes the lockup read as a signature rather than a word. Because the stroke is heavy and even, the face holds on fabric and at card size, and the open counters keep it legible when the swash runs close.
