Visual anatomy & craft review
Roadpunk is a slashed cyberpunk street-racing display: angular slanted letters with thin blade slashes cutting across the stems, sharp terminals and a forward lean that reads as speed lines on a car panel. The slashes break the silhouette and close first at small sizes, and the lean pushes the word right. It needs roughly 30 mm for the slash and the terminal to read, and it is best in one acid or chrome ink on black, or black on a pale technical tone where the slashes stay sharp.

A slashed angular display reads as a car-panel decal rather than a magazine headline, which is what a street-racing feature wants. The lean gives the title speed at 72 pt, and one ink keeps the slashes legible without shading.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Opener 210 x 297 mm, title 72 pt with 8 mm slash clearance, standfirst 11/15 pt, body 9/13 pt, 18 mm margins. Cover band 210 x 70 mm, word 44 pt. Pull quote 40 pt.
Pre-production check
At 44 pt on the cover band the slashes fill and the title reads as a solid slanted slab. Keep slash use at 56 pt and above, and proof one cover at 1:1.
A slashed cyberpunk display is the lettering a street brand already sprays on panels, so an identity in it reads as the scene. The slashes hold at 34 mm on a decal, and one ink prints the decal and the card from one file.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Decal 400 x 150 mm, word 70 mm with 10 mm slash clearance, 20 mm edge clearance. Jersey print 280 x 220 mm, word 70 mm, 20 mm margins. Card 85 x 55 mm, word 14 mm, 5 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 400 x 150 mm decal weeded at 70 mm tears the 0.8 mm slash island and the word fills on the car. Widen the slash to 2 mm or print the decal, and weed one sheet before the batch.
A slashed angular display reads as a warning on a machine rather than a pumpkin, which is the register for a science-fiction fright night. The slashes hold at 130 mm on a poster, and one acid ink on black prints the poster, the ticket and the hanger in one pass.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Poster A2, word 130 mm with 12 mm slash clearance, times 36 mm, 20 mm margins. Ticket 100 x 50 mm, word 14 mm, 4 mm perforation. Door hanger 100 x 200 mm, word 20 mm with a 30 mm hanger cut.
Pre-production check
A 100 x 50 mm ticket at 14 mm merges the slash into the stem and the word reads as a solid shard. Raise the ticket to 18 mm, and check one ticket before the batch.
