Heavy flowing script with deep returns

Visual anatomy & craft review
The two words are stacked and slightly offset, and the face is a bold display script: the M opens with a wide loop, the g drops a descender that returns under the word, the h and the t are tall and narrow, and the A of Alight throws a swash to the left that closes into the second line. The stroke is heavy with a visible swell on the downstrokes and a light hairline on the joins, and the returns are deep enough that the words look linked rather than stacked. The diagram sits on black with faint concentric rings behind it, small four-pointed sparks in gold, and torn kraft edges at two corners, so the sheet reads as a poster mock-up. Mighty Alight is a display script for covers, signage and apparel: it needs generous margins for the returns, and it is at its best in two short words.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Mighty Alight’s stroke geometry.
A bold script with deep returns reads on a can at arm's length, and the white on dark treatment matches a matte can finish without a second colour.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 60 by 100 mm can label: set the beer name at 19 pt on two lines, keep 7 mm of clear ground beneath before the strength at 5 pt, and hold 5 mm of margin on all four sides.
Pre-production check
Deep returns can run into the line beneath; print one label on the real can and check the clearance before the order.
A heavy script in white on dark reads across a dim room, which is exactly what a welcome sign at an evening party has to do.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 500 by 350 mm board: set the greeting at 110 pt over two lines, keep 26 mm of clear ground beneath before the names at 22 pt, and hold 22 mm of border on all four sides.
Pre-production check
A light join can drop out against a dark board; print one at the final size and check the thinnest stroke before the set.
A bold flowing script gives a cover a single confident word, and the deep returns supply the design without an illustration behind it.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 230 by 300 mm cover: set the cover word at 92 pt on one line, keep 26 mm of clear ground beneath before the cover lines at 11 pt, and hold 20 mm of margin on all four sides.
Pre-production check
Thin joins on newsprint can break up at large sizes; print one cover on the intended stock and check the connector before the run.
