Tall looping brush script with expressive vertical ascenders
Mama Beautiful is a tall looping brush script in which the ascenders stretch far above the x-height, the downstrokes carry ink weight and the entries curl wide, so a two-word greeting reads as written with a brush pen.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The M lifts a tall first loop, the b and l rise high above a compact body, the e turns a small eye and the exit strokes thin before they lift into the next loop, all at a brush weight with visible thick-to-thin movement. The vertical stretch is the character: the loops take height rather than width, which is why the sample sets a greeting in two stacked rows. Because the loops are long, the face needs 20 mm between baselines from 30 pt and the joins must be welded before cutting from 1.1 inches of x-height. The pale ground, the faint botanical sprigs and the small caption are presentation; the dark brush greeting is the face.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Mama Beautiful’s stroke geometry.
The tall loops suit a heartfelt line, and the brush weight keeps the greeting readable at 34 pt on an A6 card in one ink.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A6 card: set the greeting at 34 pt on one line, keep 20 mm below the tallest loop before a written message, and keep 12 mm of margin at each end for the entry stroke.
Pre-production check
A tall loop printed into a written band leaves no room to write; check the card and keep 18 mm of clear ground under the loops.
The looping script suits a gift tag, and the brush weight stays legible at 24 pt on a 40 mm card tied to a box with satin ribbon.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 40 by 80 mm tag: set the words at 24 pt, punch a 4 mm hole 10 mm from the top edge, and keep 8 mm of clear card between that hole and the highest loop.
Pre-production check
A hole punched near an ascender loop tears under ribbon tension; check the die and move the hole 5 mm further out.
The brush loops suit a printed stall sign, and the tall ascenders stay clear at 50 mm on an A4 board at market distance.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A4 sign: set the line at 50 mm, keep 20 mm between the two words so the loops do not tangle, and set the opening days in a 12 pt sans at the foot.
Pre-production check
Two script words set close merge their loops; check the sign from three metres and open the gap by 6 mm.
