Widely spaced thin contrast capitals with flat arms and a broad rounded D
Highfield sets pale uppercase lettering across a dark blue-green field, where slender horizontal arms meet stronger upright strokes, the G carries a fine open curve and the D a broad rounded bowl, and the wide letter spacing stretches a short word across the whole width.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The uprights thicken, the arms thin to hairlines, the spacing opens wide and the bowls stay round. That spacing is the character: a five-letter word becomes a horizon line across a cover, which is why the sample keeps one thin row on a dark field. The crown and rules are artwork, so build the spacing yourself, keep 30 pt for the hairlines, print on coated stock and check that the tracking survives your own measure. The hairlines are the risk under wide tracking: they silt below about 30 pt and the spacing reads as a gap rather than a rhythm, so keep 30 pt on a coated sheet and build the tracking yourself.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Highfield’s stroke geometry.
The spaced capitals give a cover its horizon, and the thin arms hold a two-word title at 46 pt across the width, where the open tracking keeps the row calm.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A4 cover: set the title at 46 pt on one row with 12 percent tracking, keep 24 mm of clear ground beneath before the issue details at 9 pt, and keep the block on the darkest part of the field.
Pre-production check
Hairline arms printed on uncoated stock thicken; check the proof and choose a coated cover stock.
The thin caps suit a studio plate, and the wide spacing holds a two-word name at 22 pt on a metal panel, where the open tracking reads as restraint.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Etch a 300 by 100 mm plate: set the name at 22 pt on one row with 14 percent tracking, keep 14 mm of clear ground beneath before the street at 8 pt, and keep 16 mm of margin for the fixings.
Pre-production check
Etched hairlines under 0.4 mm disappear; check the artwork and thicken the horizontal arms.
The spaced caps give a details card air, and the round D holds the venue name at 16 pt on heavy stock, where the fine arms stay crisp at a small size.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 105 by 148 mm details card: set the venue at 16 pt on one row with 10 percent tracking, keep 10 mm of clear ground beneath before the address at 10 pt, and keep 16 mm of margin all round.
Pre-production check
Only one treatment is shown; check the file before relying on a bold for the names, and plan a size change if no second weight exists.
