Visual anatomy & craft review
Gateway is a Year-2000 techno display in regular and italic with rounded-square bowls, wide planetary proportions and a chrome-pink attitude that reads as a millennial interface rather than a modern grotesk. The bowls are flat-sided with soft corners, so the face needs size for the corners to read as rounded rather than as a rendering fault, and the italic adds a slanted wireframe option. It needs roughly 30 mm for the corners to hold, and it is best in a gradient or two-tone fill on a pale ground, or white on a violet panel.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Gateway’s stroke geometry.
Millennial techno geometry reads as a nostalgic label, which is what a streetwear drop trades on. The rounded-square bowls cut cleanly as a small sticker and the italic gives a second, slanted expression inside the same system.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Sticker 80 x 50 mm, word 16 mm, 3 mm die margin and 3 mm corner radius. Hang tag 50 x 90 mm, word 10 mm, hole 5 mm with 6 mm clear card. Card 85 x 55 mm, word 9 mm, 6 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A die-cut around rounded-square corners leaves narrow shoulders that lift first on a shop shelf. Use a rounded-rectangle die with 3 mm clearance, and peel one sticker before the sheet ships.
Bubble-tech lettering reads as a themed party, which is what a twenty-something birthday wants. The wide bowls fill a banner with a single word and the italic gives the invite a second line without a second typeface.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invite A6, word 40 mm, details 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Banner 900 x 300 mm, word 130 mm, 40 mm margins and 20 mm clear of each eyelet. Cup wrap 200 x 90 mm, word 20 mm, 10 mm from the rim.
Pre-production check
Cup wraps cross the taper and a wide bowl distorts at the seam. Keep the word inside the flat centre band, and check one wrapped cup before the party.
Chrome-pink millennium geometry reads as a summer flyer rather than a corporate panel, and the wide stance holds on a beach flag seen from a distance. One bright ink on a dark ground keeps the print affordable.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Poster A2, word 280 mm with 20 mm trim, details 22/28 pt, 30 mm margins. Lanyard 20 x 400 mm, word 12 mm on a 40 mm pitch, 5 mm margins. Flag 600 x 2400 mm, word 220 mm, 150 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A beach flag is printed on knit polyester that stretches, and a wide word bows into a curve when the pole tension pulls. Keep 150 mm of clear margin, and check one flag flown for an afternoon.
