Frisco Press is a distressed woodblock-stamp condensed sans: narrow squared letters, a rough stamped contour with chipped edges, small ink voids inside the stems and a slightly uneven baseline that mimics hand-set type. The distress is drawn into the glyph rather than applied as a texture, so a one-colour print keeps the chips. It needs roughly 30 mm for the stamp chips to read as texture rather than dirt, and it is best in a single dense ink on kraft and newsprint, or black on a pale board.
