Visual anatomy & craft review
Delta Lake Font is a four-cut vintage national-park and lake-camp duo: a regular, a rounded, a sans and an oblique, all drawn on the same slightly inked skeleton with a small badge-friendly weight. The cuts share metrics so a line can mix a regular name with a sans caption, and the rounded cut is the softest of the four. It needs roughly 22 mm for the inked edge and the rounded terminal to read, and it is best in one deep green or brown on cream and buff stock, where the ink edge prints as a slightly worn rule.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Delta Lake Font’s stroke geometry.
A national-park duo reads as a stitched badge rather than a modern logo, which is what a summer camp wants on its caps. The rounded cut holds at 24 mm in embroidery, and the sans sets the location line in the same family.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Badge 80 mm round, word 18 mm with 4 mm edge margin, 4 mm die margin. Cap mark 60 mm wide, word 16 mm, 5 mm margin. Trail sign 600 x 300 mm, word 90 mm, 20 mm margins.
Pre-production check
At 18 mm on an embroidered badge the inked edge stitches into a fuzzy contour and the letters merge. Keep badge lettering at 24 mm or above in a single stitch direction, and approve one sample before the order.
A park-service duo reads as a printed outfitter label rather than a fashion brand, which is what a small gear maker wants. The regular cut holds the name at 22 mm on a patch, and the sans carries the material line at 8 mm in the same pass.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Patch 80 x 55 mm, word 20 mm with 5 mm edge margin. Paper band 200 x 40 mm, name 16 mm, sans line 8 mm, 6 mm margins. Card 85 x 55 mm, word 16 mm, 5 mm margins.
Pre-production check
On a 200 x 40 mm band the name prints across the fold and splits in two when the band is wrapped. Keep the word off the crease or print the band flat before wrapping, and test one band before the run.
A park-service duo gives a trail event the look of an official route notice rather than a race flyer. The oblique cut marks distances at 30 mm, and the sans sets the schedule in the same two inks on buff stock.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Poster A2, word 110 mm with 12 mm ink-edge clearance, details 34 mm, 20 mm margins. Route card 105 x 148 mm, header 22 mm, legs 9 mm. Finisher badge 60 mm round, word 14 mm, 3 mm die margin.
Pre-production check
A 60 mm finisher badge at 14 mm closes the inked edge and the badge reads as a smudged disc. Use the sans cut on badges or raise the word to 18 mm, and check one badge before the event.
