Visual anatomy & craft review
DAEMON over SICKNESS fills the frame in white on a dark scene of crosses, fire and a horned skull, and the two words are drawn as one emblem: the stems of neighbouring letters merge, the tops fork into blades, and the outer edges throw long curved wings that reach almost to the corners of the card. Behind the type a red glow and lightning give the composition depth, and the lettering itself stays flat white so it reads against the noise. Two lines of small type under the emblem name the style and the alternates, set in a plain sans. The face is a logo treatment first: the silhouette is a crest, and the letters resolve on a second look. It belongs on band art and merch, and it needs a black ground and a large size.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Daemon Sickness’s stroke geometry.
The emblem reads as a band mark from the door, and the flat white letters hold against a busy dark scene where a textured face would vanish.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A2 poster: set the emblem at 340 mm wide across the upper half, keep 36 mm of clear ground beneath before the line-up at 12 pt, and hold 28 mm of margin from the wings to the trim.
Pre-production check
Thin blade spurs break on cheap stock; print one poster at the final size and check the tips before the run.
The lettering is the subject, so the cover carries the emblem alone and lets a small caption block underneath explain the book.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 210 by 280 mm cover: set the emblem at 180 mm wide at the top, keep 30 mm of clear ground beneath before the title block at 12 pt, and hold 22 mm from the lowest blade to the bottom trim.
Pre-production check
Matte lamination dulls the fine points; print one cover with the finish applied and compare it with the signed proof before the run.
The mirrored emblem holds as a one-colour screen print, and the shape is recognisable even when the festival is unknown to the wearer.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 300 by 380 mm back print: set the emblem at 280 mm wide, keep 36 mm of clear ground beneath before the date line at 9 pt, and hold 30 mm from the wings to the print edge.
Pre-production check
Coarse mesh closes the narrow gaps between letters; print one pull on the actual shirt and check the counters.
