The word is set once, large, and the drawing is a gothic-flavoured display: the stems are heavy and vertical, the terminals break into points, and the counters are narrow, which gives the letters their medieval silhouette without the density of a true blackletter. The interior carries a speckle and a chipped edge that reads as carved stone, and the gold is applied flat with a thin highlight, so the texture rather than a gradient does the work. Spacing is tight and the lockup is centred in an arched frame, which is what makes it read as a title over an illustration. Two small tracked lines above and below sit in a light serif, and the castle scene behind keeps the type the brightest element.
