Uneven spooky serif capitals with pointed terminals and wobbly stems
Crypt Keeper is a capital alphabet with uneven stems, pointed terminals and slight lean on some letters, so a word reads as lettering scratched onto a board rather than as a printed serif.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The C opens wide and finishes in a point, the R carries a narrow bowl and a pointed leg, the Y forks into two spikes and the P keeps a small bowl on a heavy stem, all at a moderate weight with serifs that turn into points rather than sitting flat. The unevenness is systematic rather than random: stems tilt a degree or two, the fit loosens and tightens across the word, and corners come to points, which is what gives the face its seasonal character without turning it into a novelty face. Because the points are thin, the face wants 24 pt minimum and a coated stock. The fog, the graveyard, the green ink, the small caps label and the two caption lines are presentation; the typeface is the two words.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Crypt Keeper’s stroke geometry.
The scratched capitals carry a warning sign at 12 cm and read at night under a single light, which is the whole point of an attraction board.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 600 by 400 mm board: set the warning at 12 cm across the middle, set the direction arrow text in a 4 cm caps sans below, and leave 8 cm of border so the pointed terminals stay inside the frame.
Pre-production check
A pointed terminal printed on a matte board looks like damage in daylight; check the sign in both light conditions and blunt the smallest points.
The uneven capitals give an October cover story its seasonal voice, and the moderate weight keeps the title readable at 64 pt among photography.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A4 cover: set the header at 64 pt across the upper half, set the standfirst in a 12 pt sans beneath, and keep 18 mm of margin so the leaning stems do not run past the trim.
Pre-production check
Uneven stems can look like a registration error next to a body face; check the cover and keep the header isolated on its own ground.
The pointed serifs give a sweet wrapper its seasonal character, and the capitals hold at 11 pt on a label the size of a thumbnail.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 45 by 45 mm label: set the product at 11 pt, set the weight in a 4.5 pt caps sans beneath, and keep 4 mm of margin so the pointed terminals are not cut by the square die.
Pre-production check
A point under 0.3 mm at 11 pt closes on a digital press; check the printed label and use a plainer face for the smallest line.
