Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
Cosmed Retro is a wavy psychedelic display built from blob letters: each stem swells and narrows in a wave, the counters are reduced to slits and the whole word rides an undulating baseline. The wave grows the word vertically and the slits close first when the face shrinks. It needs roughly 30 mm for the wave and the slit counter to read, and it is best in two warm inks on cream, or one ink plus paper where the slits read as knockouts.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Cosmed Retro’s stroke geometry.
A wavy blob display reads as a hand-painted sixties board rather than a printed logo. The slits hold at 60 mm on a board, and two warm inks print the board and the cups in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Board 600 x 900 mm, word 100 mm with 12 mm wave clearance, items 26 mm, 30 mm margins. Cup print 70 x 50 mm, word 16 mm, 5 mm margins. Card 85 x 55 mm, word 14 mm, 5 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 70 x 50 mm cup panel at 16 mm closes the slits into a solid bar and the name reads as a warm blob. Raise cup type to 22 mm, and check one printed cup before the order.
A wavy display turns a retrospective page into its own period cover. The slits hold at 72 pt on a coated cover, and two warm inks keep the wave from filling against a tinted ground.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Cover 210 x 297 mm, title 72 pt with 12 mm wave clearance, cover lines 10/14 pt over two columns of 82 mm, 18 mm margins and a 12 mm head. Opener 56 pt. Section head 26 pt.
Pre-production check
At 26 pt on the section head the slits fill and the head reads as a solid bar. Keep the face at 44 pt and above, and proof one spread at 1:1.
A wavy display reads as a hand-drawn festival poster rather than a modern flyer. The wave holds at 150 mm on a poster, and two warm inks print the poster and the tote from one separation.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Poster A2, word 150 mm with 15 mm wave clearance, details 44 mm, 20 mm margins. Stage banner 3000 x 800 mm, word 260 mm, 60 mm safe edge. Tote print 300 x 300 mm, word 70 mm, 25 mm margins.
Pre-production check
Screen printed on a tote at 70 mm the slits bridge and the wave fills into a solid block after a wash. Use a 2 mm stencil bridge, and wash one sample before the order.
