Visual anatomy & craft review
The letters are narrow and tall: the C opens to a square bracket, the L holds a single heavy arm, the U closes a deep bowl and the B keeps two stacked bowls of equal width, with slabs at every stem and no bracketing. Because all four treatments share one skeleton, a designer can layer the outline over the fill and get a two-colour athletic letter without drawing anything twice, and the distressed version supplies wear for a vintage look. Weight in the regular is heavy and uniform, the fit is tight enough that a long school name holds one line, and the counters are narrow slits. The graph-paper ground, the black inks, the star rules and the small credits are presentation; the typeface is the words and the alphabet shown beside them.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Club College’s stroke geometry.
The four treatments let one banner carry a layered name and a worn second line from a single family, which is what a school order usually needs.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the school name in the outline at 90 mm on a 1.4 m banner, layer the fill inside at 82 mm, and leave 40 mm at each end so the slabs are not cut by the hem.
Pre-production check
Two-colour layering needs accurate registration; check the pull at final size and keep the outline at least 4 mm wide around the block.
The tall collegiate blocks read across a back panel, and the distressed style gives a worn team look without a separate print effect.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the school name in the regular at 85 mm across a 300 mm back width, set the year in the distressed style at 30 mm, and keep 30 mm from the shoulder seam.
Pre-production check
A distressed edge under 1 mm disappears in screen print; check a pull on the actual garment and simplify the wear pattern rather than the letters.
The collegiate weight gives a yearbook its expected voice, and the outline style lets a header sit over a photograph without hiding it.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the header at 52 pt across the spread, use the outline fill over the image and the regular on plain stock, and hold 18 mm below the header before the caption.
Pre-production check
An outline header over a busy photograph loses its edges; check the spread proof and keep it on the calmer half of the image.
