Chicago Downtown is a tall compressed calligraphy script with towering C, D, t and h stems, a narrow upright stance and brisk connectors, so a name reads as a modern urban wordmark rather than a wedding script. The vertical stretch fits a long name in a narrow column, and the even weight keeps it legible at 14 mm on a card. It needs roughly 22 mm for the tall stems to read as deliberate, and it is best in jet black on a pale ground or white on a dark photograph.
