Visual anatomy & craft review
Boho is a thick monoline-cord script with wide open B bowls, smooth even strokes and a single plump weight, so a name reads as drawn with a marker in one pass rather than as calligraphy. The open bowls keep it legible at 12 mm, and the cord-like evenness makes it reliable for cutting, plotting and foiling. It needs roughly 20 mm for the open bowl to read as a bowl, and it is best in forest charcoal on textured white, or one ink on kraft.

A smooth cord script reads as a small maker's hand rather than a brand font, which is what a ceramics or candle studio wants on a label. The even stroke cuts cleanly and foils at 12 mm, and the open bowls keep a long studio name readable on a 60 mm label edge.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Label 70 x 45 mm, name 12 mm, weight 4.5 pt, 4 mm die margin. Carton 160 x 120 x 40 mm, word 26 mm on the lid, 18 mm margins. Card 85 x 55 mm, name 9 mm, role 5.5 pt.
Pre-production check
A 12 mm cord script on a curved candle carton closes the 0.3 mm connector in flexo and the name reads as a single stroke. Print digitally or raise the name to 16 mm, and check one assembled box under shop light.
An even cord script reads as a hand-lettered outdoor wedding, which is what a garden or barn venue is. The open bowls keep a long double-barrelled name legible at 26 mm, and the single weight plots and foils at 10 pt on place cards.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invitation 120 x 180 mm, names 26 mm, details 9/13 pt, 15 mm margins. Place card 90 x 50 mm, name 9 mm on an 11 pt leading. Sign 600 x 900 mm, names 90 mm, 25 mm frame clearance.
Pre-production check
A 9 mm place card on textured card breaks a 0.3 mm connector and the name reads in pieces. Print place cards on smooth card or raise them to 11 mm, and pull one proof before the suite.
A soft cord script reads as a spring garden party rather than a formal event, which is what a plant sale needs. The even stroke prints in one watercolour-adjacent ink on textured paper, and the open bowls fit a long variety name on a 60 mm seed label.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Menu 120 x 210 mm, header 16 mm, dishes 9/13 pt, 12 mm margins. Seed label 60 x 90 mm, name 12 mm, notes 6/9 pt, 4 mm die margin. Card 105 x 148 mm, word 20 mm, 12 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A seed packet is folded twice and a 6 pt note over a crease cracks when the paper is closed. Keep text 6 mm from every fold, and check one folded packet before the batch.
