Monoline signature script
Single Line is a monoline signature script in heavy black on cream: a thick even stroke, tall open loops, blunt entry and exit points, a slight forward slant and a bounce across the two words, with a tracked caption beneath in a small roman.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The two words are set on one line and the drawing is a monoline signature: the stroke stays the same weight through the loops and joins, the letters lean forward together, and the terminals are blunt rather than tapered, which keeps the face readable at card size. The bounce is mild but present, so the line looks written rather than drawn to a rule, and the open loops let the reader follow the word without effort. Because the stroke is heavy relative to the letter size, the counters stay open even at small sizes, which is why this kind of script works for labels as well as headings. The ground is a plain cream with a subtle inner frame, and the caption beneath is set in a light roman with wide tracking.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Single Line’s stroke geometry.
A monoline script keeps thirty place cards consistent when a couple prints them at home, and the heavy even stroke stays legible on a small card.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print A4 sheets of eight: each name at 20 pt, the table in an 8 pt roman, and 8 mm between cards. Keep 10 mm inside the trim so the loops are never cut and print one ink on a cream card.
Pre-production check
Check the 20 pt names, where a tall loop can run into the trim; centre each name on its widest letter. Confirm the 8 pt table reads across the table and that the sheet cuts cleanly.
A simple monoline script reads as a hand-written label, and the even stroke prints cleanly on an uncoated sticker where a modulated script would break up.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 60 by 80 mm label: the product at 16 pt, the weight in a 6 pt sans, and the date at 5 pt. Keep 4 mm inside the die and print one ink on a kraft stock so the writing reads as pen.
Pre-production check
Check the 16 pt product on kraft, where the heavy stroke can look flat; keep the ink dark. Confirm the 5 pt date reads on the pack and that the label survives a chilled cabinet.
A signature script gives a thank-you card a personal voice, and the even stroke leaves room for a written message on the same sheet.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A6 folded card: the greeting at 26 pt, the message in a 9 pt roman at 13 pt leading, and a signature line at 18 pt. Keep 14 mm margins and print one ink on a soft white card.
Pre-production check
Check the 26 pt greeting, where a loop can touch the message block; keep 10 mm clear. Confirm the 9 pt message reads comfortably and that the signature line leaves room for a pen.
