Uneven collegiate slab display
Vintage Project is a tall narrow collegiate slab in six colours on black: caps with heavy square serifs and small slab spurs, each letter tilted and offset so the two words sit on a loose uneven arc, with a boxed tracked line at the foot between two drawn arrows.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The two words are stacked and the letters are deliberately placed off the baseline at slightly different angles, which turns a plain collegiate slab into a hand-set look. The drawing itself is conventional — narrow caps, square serifs, small spurs on the C and S — so the character comes from the arrangement rather than from the shapes, which matters because a buyer needs to know that the tilt is a layout decision and not a glyph feature. The six colours are flat and print as separate passes, and the boxed line at the foot is plain. Because the letters are narrow and heavy, the face suits a poster, a card and a shirt, and the plate sets it large enough that each serif is visible.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Vintage Project’s stroke geometry.
A collegiate slab with an uneven setting reads as a hand-set invitation, and the flat colours print cheaply at home. It reads as hand-set.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A6 card: the greeting at 24 pt, the details in a 9.5 pt sans, and the date at 8.5 pt. Keep 15 mm margins and print four colours on a cream card. Leave 8 mm of paper at the foot.
Pre-production check
Check the 24 pt greeting at home-print resolution, where a small spur can close; keep the size above 26 pt. Confirm the 9.5 pt details keep a 4.5:1 contrast and that the card folds flat.
A collegiate face signals a school event, and the uneven setting carries the nostalgic register without an extra illustration.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A3 poster: the reunion at 80 mm cap height, the year in a 30 mm slab, and the venue at 11 mm. Keep 28 mm margins and print three colours on a light stock.
Pre-production check
Check the A3 at four metres, where the tilts can look like a printing error; keep the angles deliberate. Confirm the 11 mm venue reads at two metres and that the colours stay registered.
A collegiate slab gives a bar a team-like mark, and the uneven setting makes a plain word look designed on a shirt. It prints on a dark shirt.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 240 mm chest graphic: the bar at 55 mm cap height, the line at 24 mm, and three inks on a dark shirt. Keep the narrowest counter at 4 mm and place the graphic 80 mm below the collar.
Pre-production check
Check the screen at actual mesh, where a 4 mm counter can fill; open the spacing. Wash-test one shirt and confirm the serifs stay square after five cycles.
