Visual anatomy & craft review
Valentine in Faith is a PUA-encoded brush calligraphy script with heart crowns: a loaded brush stroke with connected letters, a light slant, and swash alternates that end in a small heart above the ascenders; the alternates only appear through the PUA keystrokes. The crowns add height and the hearts close first at small sizes. It needs roughly 26 mm for the heart crown and the brush edge to read, and it is best in one warm ink on smooth card, or a foil impression above 36 pt where the hearts still hold their lobes.

A heart-crowned brush script carries the sentiment in the lettering and the swash rather than a printed motif. The crowns hold at 26 mm, and one warm ink prints the card, the seal and the sleeve from one file.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card A6, greeting 26 mm with 10 mm crown clearance, note 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Seal label 38 mm round, word 7 mm, 3 mm die margin. Sleeve 160 x 80 mm, word 18 mm, 8 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 38 mm seal at 7 mm loses the heart crown under wax and the greeting reads as a plain script. Use an initial only on the seal, and pour one seal before the batch.
A brush calligraphy script with heart crowns signs a wedding invitation in a hand rather than a plate. The crowns hold at 28 pt, and the PUA alternates let a long name end in a flourish instead of a blunt stop.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invitation 130 x 180 mm, names 28 pt with 12 mm crown clearance, details 9/13 pt, 16 mm margins. Menu 120 x 210 mm, header 16 pt, courses 9/12 pt. Place card 90 x 50 mm, name 12 pt, 4 mm margins.
Pre-production check
At 12 pt on a place card the crown closes into a comma and the name reads as a typo. Raise place cards to 16 pt, and proof one card before the suite.
A heart-crowned brush script gives a spring celebration a written title rather than a typeset one. The brush edge holds at 30 mm on a card, and one ink prints the card and the welcome sign in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card A6, title 30 mm with 12 mm crown clearance, note 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Welcome sign 600 x 400 mm, word 90 mm, 25 mm margins. Banner 1200 x 400 mm, word 140 mm, 25 mm safe edge.
Pre-production check
On a 600 x 400 mm sign the crown swash runs past the printed area and gets trimmed. Keep the word inside a 25 mm margin with 12 mm extra above, and inspect one sign before hanging.
