Bold rising sign-painter script
The Sign Paintoh is a bold brush script in cream on a red painted diamond: thick swelled strokes, spiral terminals and a rising baseline, presented as a hanging shop sign against a teal wall.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The Sign is written on the upper line and Paintoh beneath, and both are drawn as sign-painter's letters: the strokes swell in the middle and taper at the ends, the S opens with a spiral, the h and the n carry tall rounded arches and the whole phrase rises slightly to the right, which is how a painted sign sits on a board. A drop shadow in a darker red sits behind the lettering, and a small curved banner at the foot states the style in tracked caps. The card is a photograph of the sign itself, hung from a bracket on a textured teal wall with a yellow sticker in the corner, which shows the face in the material it is meant for. The brush script is for shop signs, packaging and apparel: it needs size, two colours at most, and a board that allows for the shadow.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to The Sign Paintoh’s stroke geometry.
A sign-painter script reads as a painted board rather than a printed one, and the rising baseline gives a plain welcome sign the look of a hand-lettered shop.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 500 by 350 mm board: set the greeting at 100 pt across two rows, keep 24 mm of clear ground beneath before the names at 22 pt, and hold 22 mm of border on all four sides.
Pre-production check
A painted drop shadow has to follow the lettering by hand; print one board at the final size and check the shadow line before the set.
The face is designed for a physical sign, and one painted board outside a shop does more than any printed advertisement for the same budget.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 600 by 600 mm diamond sign: set the shop name at 110 pt across two rows, keep 30 mm of clear ground beneath before the street at 20 pt, and hold 26 mm of border on all sides.
Pre-production check
Lettering on a diamond has to be set to the diagonal; print one at the final size and check both corners before the sign is cut.
A sign-painter's script sets a feature about hand trades, and the bold weight holds a cover line against a photograph of a shopfront.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 230 by 300 mm cover: set the cover word at 96 pt across two rows, keep 28 mm of clear ground beneath before the cover lines at 12 pt, and hold 22 mm of margin on all sides.
Pre-production check
A swollen brush stroke can blur on newsprint; print one cover on the actual stock and check the terminals before the run.
