Visual anatomy & craft review
Stay Chunky Shadow is a hollow three-dimensional display with a groovy extruded shadow: an outlined face with wide open counters, a hard offset extrusion running down and to the right and a small swash curl on the round letters. The hollow face means the ground shows through the letters, and the extrusion is the only weight. It needs roughly 34 mm for the outline and the extrusion to read, and it is best in two flat inks on white, or one ink on a bright ground where the hollow letters read as knockouts.

A hollow extruded display gives a studio a mark that reads as a printed poster, not a web logo. The outline holds at 90 mm on a poster, and two flat inks print the poster and the cards in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Poster A3, word 90 mm with 12 mm extrusion clearance, details 28 mm, 18 mm margins. Card 85 x 55 mm, word 14 mm, 5 mm margins. Door decal 200 x 300 mm, word 60 mm, 20 mm margins.
Pre-production check
On an 85 x 55 mm card the hollow counters close and the name reads as a solid block with a smudge below. Raise the card word to 22 mm, and check one card before the run.
An extruded shadow display announces a themed birthday through the lettering alone. The extrusion holds at 44 mm on a topper, and two flat inks print the invite and the banner as one set.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invite A6, word 44 mm with 10 mm extrusion clearance, details 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Topper 130 x 110 mm, word 48 mm with a 6 mm stick slot and 12 mm clear. Banner 1500 x 400 mm, word 150 mm, 30 mm safe edge.
Pre-production check
A 130 mm topper cut through the extrusion leaves a 1 mm sliver that falls out in the laser. Cut toppers to the outer silhouette, and test one before the party.
A hollow extruded display turns a retrospective page into its own period cover. The outline holds at 72 pt on a coated cover, and two flat inks keep the extrusion crisp against a tinted ground.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Cover 210 x 297 mm, title 72 pt with 12 mm extrusion clearance, cover lines 10/14 pt, 18 mm margins. Opener 56 pt. Section head 26 pt with 8 mm above.
Pre-production check
At 26 pt on the section head the extrusion merges with the outline and the head reads as a solid shape. Keep the face at 44 pt and above, and proof one spread at 1:1.
