Geometric lowercase blackletter
Stackwin is a geometric lowercase blackletter in acid yellow over a black engraving: straight clipped ends, diamond-shaped dots, uniform stroke widths and angular joins, set as one word with a small note above and two plain lines beneath naming the style and the studio.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The plate is a modern specimen, and the type is set over an engraving that gives it a dark ground without competing, since the ornament is fine and the letters are solid. The drawing is unusual for its class: a lowercase blackletter built from straight strokes with clipped ends and diamond dots, so the face reads as a constructed gothic rather than a calligraphic one, and the uniform widths mean it holds a moderate size without clogging. That construction sets a moderate size floor, because the clipped ends close first. The note and the two lines beneath are product copy. It suits a poster, a record sleeve and a brand for a music or a fashion subject.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Stackwin’s stroke geometry.
A geometric blackletter reads as a record sleeve, and the uniform strokes hold a long title at display size without clogging.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the title at 85 mm x-height across 190 mm, the artist in a 11 pt sans, and the label at 8 pt. Print two colours on a coated stock and keep 20 mm margins.
Pre-production check
Check the title at 85 mm, where a clipped end can clot; keep the counters open. Confirm the 8 pt label survives lamination and that the diamonds stay sharp on the stock.
A constructed gothic gives a label a modern edge, and the clipped ends survive a small tag where a calligraphic face would not.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the mark at 16 pt on a woven tag, 90 mm on a window and 11 pt on a care label, keeping the diamonds intact. Keep one colour and clear space equal to the x-height.
Pre-production check
Check the 11 pt care label, where a diamond can vanish; keep it above 10 pt. Confirm the window mark reads at eight metres and that the mark holds in woven tape.
A geometric gothic reads as a club poster, and the acid colour holds on a dark print where a fine gothic would disappear.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A2 poster: the night at 110 mm x-height, the line-up in an 18 mm sans, and the venue at 11 mm. Keep 28 mm margins and print two colours on a dark stock.
Pre-production check
Check the A2 at five metres, where a clipped end can vanish; keep it above 2.5 mm. Confirm the 11 mm venue reads at two metres and that the line-up fits the measure.
