Angular stencil display
Sparated is an angular stencil display in mustard on black: heavy condensed caps with narrow vertical breaks through the bowls and the upright joins, squared corners and flat terminals, with a grey secondary line beneath and tracked credits at the foot.

Open counter bridges hold interior islands intact on laser-cut wood, acrylic, and mylar stencils.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The word spans the plate and the drawing is a stencil cut at a heavy weight: the letters are condensed, the corners are squared, and the breaks run vertically through the bowls and the joins rather than being drawn as gaps at the edges, which is what makes the face read as cut metal or masking tape. That construction sets a size floor, because the breaks close when the letters shrink, and the plate sets the block as large as the sheet allows. The grey line beneath states the style at a smaller size, which shows that the family holds at a lower weight, and the tracked credits at the foot carry the studio and the licence. Because the counters are narrow and the breaks thin, the face works at display sizes only.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Sparated’s stroke geometry.
A stencil display reads as cut signage, and the vertical breaks hold on a window where the letters are applied as separate pieces of vinyl.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Cut 900 by 320 mm vinyl: the name at 120 mm cap height, the services in a 20 mm sans, and a 4 mm gap. Keep 25 mm margins and apply to a clean pane with a matte film.
Pre-production check
Check the cut at 120 mm, where a 4 mm break can tear on weeding; widen it to 6 mm. Confirm the 20 mm services read at two metres and that the letters pass squeegee without bubbles.
A stencil face signals a design course, and the square construction holds at poster size where a rounded face would look soft.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A2 poster: the course at 100 mm cap height, the dates in a 22 mm sans, and the room at 10 mm. Keep 28 mm margins and print two colours on a light stock.
Pre-production check
Check the poster at four metres, where the breaks can read as print faults; keep them even and vertical. Confirm the 10 mm room reads at arm's length and that the title fits the sheet.
A stencil display prints as one screen and reads as stencilled fabric paint, which suits a street party better than a clean block.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 250 mm chest graphic: the slogan at 60 mm cap height, the year at 30 mm, and one ink on a light shirt. Keep the breaks at 4 mm and place the graphic 80 mm below the collar.
Pre-production check
Check the screen at actual mesh, where a 4 mm break can fill; widen it. Wash-test one shirt and confirm the breaks stay open after five cycles.
