Visual anatomy & craft review
Sibyl is an Art Deco display that pairs heavy vertical pillars with twin hairline side stems, so a word alternates between solid weight and two fine parallel rules on the same letter. The hairlines are structural and must stay separate, which means the face needs size and a print process that does not close a 0.4 mm gap. It needs roughly 32 mm for the twin stems to read as two lines, and it is best in gold or a single dark ink on teal or ivory.

Deco pillars with twin hairlines read as a bar that was fitted out in the twenties, which is what a cocktail room sells. The alternation of heavy and fine gives a short brand name rhythm without an ornament, and the twin rules foil into two clean channels on matte board.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Label 40 x 70 mm, name 12 pt, 4 mm top arc and 3 mm die margin. Card 85 x 55 mm, name 10 pt, role 5.5 pt, 5 mm margins. Sign 900 x 300 mm, word 140 mm, 50 mm margins and 25 mm frame clearance.
Pre-production check
Block foil on a 0.3 mm twin stem bridges the two hairlines into one thick rule and the Deco detail disappears. Keep the gap at 0.8 mm minimum for foil, and pull one foil proof before the label run.
Twin hairlines and heavy pillars read as a hotel ballroom from a period film, which is what a city wedding borrows. The face sets a long couple name in a narrow column, and the hairline stems print crisply on smooth card at 28 pt.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invitation 120 x 180 mm, names 28 pt, details 9/13 pt, 15 mm margins and 10 mm trim. Menu 120 x 210 mm, header 16 pt, dishes 9/13 pt. Plan 420 x 297 mm, names 9 pt on a 12 pt leading.
Pre-production check
Heavy cotton stock absorbs ink and the twin hairline swells shut at 9 pt on the plan, so two guests with similar names look identical. Set plan names in a companion serif, and proof against the RSVP list twice.
Architectural Deco lettering reads as a period exhibition title, which is what a design museum shows. The twin rules give the poster period detail without illustration, and the heavy pillars hold up at 200 mm in a two-colour offset run.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Poster A1, title 200 mm, dates 26/32 pt, 40 mm margins and 25 mm trim. Catalogue 210 x 280 mm, cover 54 pt, 20 mm margins. Panel 1200 x 800 mm, title 180 mm, notes 18/24 pt.
Pre-production check
At 200 mm the twin stems need a 1 mm gap, and a raster upscale fills them into a grey stripe. Supply vector art, specify a 1 mm minimum gap, and check one print at 1:1 before mounting.
