Visual anatomy & craft review
Decolmax is a slender dual-line Parisian Art Deco display with 635 glyphs and bonus dingbats, so a word is drawn as two fine parallel strokes with Deco geometry and a high waist. The dual line is the whole design, which means the face lives on print resolution: close the gap and the word becomes a solid stem, break it and it becomes two unrelated lines. It needs roughly 34 mm for the two strokes to stay separate, and it is best in gold or a single dark ink on ivory.

Slender double-line Deco lettering reads as a grand hotel ballroom, which is what a black-tie wedding borrows. The high waist gives a long couple name elegance at 28 pt, and the dual line foils into two clean channels on matte board.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invitation 120 x 180 mm, names 28 pt, details 9/13 pt, 15 mm margins and 10 mm trim. Menu 120 x 210 mm, header 16 pt, dishes 9/13 pt. Sign 600 x 900 mm, names 90 mm, 25 mm frame clearance.
Pre-production check
Block foil on a 0.4 mm gap bridges the two lines into one wide groove and the Deco detail vanishes. Keep the gap at 0.8 mm minimum for foil, and pull one foil proof before the suite.
Dual-line Deco reads as a heritage fragrance house, which is what a small perfume line prints on a carton. The two strokes hold in a single spot ink on coated board, and the dingbats let the back panel carry period marks without new artwork.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Carton 55 x 140 x 30 mm, name 20 pt, weight 5.5 pt, 8 mm margins. Label 40 x 70 mm, name 12 pt, 4 mm top arc. Card 85 x 55 mm, name 10 pt, 5 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 12 pt dual-line name on a curved label closes in flexo and the word reads as a solid stem. Print labels digitally or keep the name at 16 pt, and check one applied label on a bottle.
Parisian dual-line lettering reads as a 1925 poster, which is what a design exhibition is showing. The high waist fills a poster column with one word, and the dingbats give the panel period detail without extra artwork.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Poster A1, title 200 mm, dates 26/32 pt, 40 mm margins and 25 mm trim. Catalogue 210 x 280 mm, cover 54 pt, 20 mm margins. Panel 1200 x 800 mm, title 180 mm, notes 18/24 pt.
Pre-production check
At 200 mm on a large-format printer the dual line needs a 1 mm gap, and a 300 dpi raster upscale fills it into a grey stripe. Supply vector art, specify a 1 mm minimum gap, and check one print at 1:1 before mounting.
