Two-layer varsity block with a gold border

Visual anatomy & craft review
Senior fills the upper half of the card, and each letter is a wide slab-serifed block with a gold outline that holds a white inner shape, so the word reads as a two-colour athletic application without a second file. The letters are tight and even, the serifs are blunt, and the counters are squared off, which is what makes the block read as a jersey rather than as a sign. Behind the word a navy field carries a drawn football at the left and a pennant at the right, and the lower third holds the subtitle in a slab sans with a second line of tracked capitals beneath. The face is for school and club athletics: the two-layer construction is what a printer or a cutter needs, and the border weight has to stay even if the wordmark is scaled to a shirt or a stadium board.

Two layers in white and gold is how a class shirt is normally made, and the block forms stay readable on a moving crowd.

Hierarchy & layout recipe

A varsity block gives a programme cover a cover that reads as an event rather than as a newsletter, and the subtitle carries the details.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 148 by 210 mm programme: set the word at 60 pt on one row, keep 18 mm of clear ground beneath before the fixture list at 9 pt, and hold 14 mm of margin on all sides.
