Condensed poster sans
Senior is a condensed sans in deep pink on cream: very tall narrow caps with flat terminals, a high waist and thin counters, set in one word across the plate with a tracked label above and beneath in a lighter serif.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The word is set once, wide, and the drawing is a condensed grotesque: the stems are tall, the terminals are flat, and the counters are narrow slivers, which lets seven letters fill the width without losing height. The plate sets it flush to the margins, so the spacing becomes part of the composition, and the tracked labels above and beneath are set in a light serif, which contrasts with the block rather than echoing it. Because the counters are narrow, the face works at display sizes and in signage, and the specimen keeps the cream empty so the pink reads as ink. The palette is two tones, and there is nothing else on the plate.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Senior’s stroke geometry.
A condensed sans lets a single word hold a cover at full height, which is what a design annual wants for a confident title without a photograph.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the title at 140 mm cap height across 210 mm flush to the margins, the issue lines in an 8 pt sans, and the year at 7 pt. Print one ink on a light stock and keep the title in the upper two thirds.
Pre-production check
Check the title at 140 mm, where the slivers can fill on press; keep them above 2 mm. Confirm the 7 pt year reads at arm's length and that the flush setting holds on both edges.
A condensed sans fits a long studio name on a narrow fascia, and the tall letters read at distance where a normal width would lose its height.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Fabricate a 1,200 by 320 mm panel: the studio at 120 mm cap height, the floor in a 26 mm condensed sans, and a 4 mm rule. Keep 25 mm margins and specify a matte finish.
Pre-production check
Check the 120 mm panel, where a thin counter can read as a line; keep them above 4 mm. Confirm the 26 mm floor reads at six metres and that the rule clears the fixings.
A condensed sans fits a long class name on a poster where a normal width would force a second line, and the flat terminals read from across a hall.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A2 portrait: the show at 130 mm cap height, the details in a 16 mm sans, and the date at 24 mm. Keep 30 mm margins and print two colours on a light ground.
Pre-production check
Check the poster at five metres, where narrow counters can close; keep them above 5 mm. Confirm the 16 mm details read at two metres and that the date aligns with the block.
