Royal Varsity is a collegiate varsity slab serif in a filled cut plus a matching outline cut: extended block letters with thick unbracketed slabs, a small notch on the terminals and a second version where only the outer keyline prints. The pair lets a shirt carry a heavy name and a light second line in one voice, and the outline cut is the weaker element in print. The filled cut needs roughly 30 mm and the outline 34 mm for their detail to read.
