Rounded cartoon capitals in glossy colour with heavy shading
Fredoka Bold is a rounded cartoon capital alphabet in which every letter carries a glossy highlight, a darker shade along the lower edge and a thick cream outline, so a word reads as inflated toy lettering.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The F keeps two arms and a short middle bar, the R holds a full bowl and a straight leg, the O closes a round counter and the A carries a low bar, all at a very heavy weight with fully rounded ends. The shading is what gives the face its volume: a darker tone runs along one edge and a highlight along the other, and the outline separates the whole lockup from a busy background. Because the letters are simple and equally weighted, the sample runs a full colour sequence across two words without breaking the composition. Counters are small, so the face wants 28 pt minimum and reads best at poster scale. The cream ground, the sun, the rainbow, the cartoon flower and the banded caption are presentation; the typeface is the two words.

The inflated letters read at 90 pt across a printed poster and give a school event a voice aimed at children rather than at parents.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A2 poster: set the event name at 90 pt across the upper half, set the date in a 20 pt rounded sans below, and keep 25 mm of margin so the cream outline survives the trim on every edge.
Pre-production check
A thick outline printed on a saturated ground looks like a halo; check the poster proof and keep the ground plain behind the lettering.
The glossy weight carries a paper banner at 70 mm and stays legible across a room with balloons and tableware behind it.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 1.2 m paper banner: set the greeting at 70 mm, keep 8 mm between letters so the outlines do not merge, and leave 20 cm at each end clear so the string holes fall on blank paper.
Pre-production check
String points punched through a letter ruin the banner; check the layout against the hole positions and keep the type in the central span.
The rounded weight prints on a small cup and the shading reads as volume even on a curved surface at 18 pt, where a flat cut would look thin.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 90 mm paper cup: set the name at 18 pt on the front face, set the age in a 7 pt rounded sans beneath, and keep 10 mm from the seam so the curved wrap does not distort the shading.
Pre-production check
A cup seam breaks any shading that crosses it; check a wrapped cup and keep the lettering entirely on one side of the join.
