Tall condensed retro sans
Robusta is a tall condensed sans in cream on terracotta: very tall caps with softly squared curves, an even heavy stroke and a triangular counter in the A, set as one word across the plate with tracked notes in all four corners.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The word spans the plate and the drawing is a condensed sans at a heavy weight: the strokes are even, the curves are softly squared rather than rounded, and the A keeps a triangular counter, which gives the face a sixties sign character. That construction is why it works at large sizes on a fascia and on a poster, and the plate sets the word as wide as the sheet allows so the proportions are judged honestly. The four corner notes are tiny tracked caps and they carry the style and the file formats, which is the practical information a buyer checks. Because the letters are condensed and heavy, the face fits a long word in a narrow space and reads at distance, which is the reason a shop sign chooses this width over a wide grotesque.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Robusta’s stroke geometry.
A condensed heavy sans fits a long shop name on a narrow fascia, and the squared curves hold under a plastic light box at night.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Fabricate a 1,200 by 350 mm sign: the name at 120 mm cap height, the menu in a 22 mm sans, and a 4 mm rule. Keep 25 mm margins and specify an even backlight.
Pre-production check
Check the sign at 120 mm, where the triangular counter can fill with light; keep it above 8 mm. Confirm the 22 mm menu reads at three metres and that the rule clears the fixings.
A condensed display sets a long festival name in one row, and the heavy stroke reads from a distance on a street poster.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A2 poster: the festival at 100 mm cap height, the dates in a 26 mm sans, and the venue at 11 mm. Keep 28 mm margins and print two colours on a light stock.
Pre-production check
Check the poster at five metres, where tight spacing can join the letters; add 2 percent tracking. Confirm the 11 mm venue reads at three metres and that the title fits.
A condensed face fits a long event name on a banner rail, and the flat colour holds on vinyl in daylight without a second pass.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print 1,300 by 450 mm: the event at 150 mm cap height, the times in a 32 mm sans, and a 5 mm border. Keep 30 mm margins and print two colours on light vinyl.
Pre-production check
Check the banner at ten metres, where the squared curves can read as damage; keep the corners even. Confirm the 32 mm times read at five metres and that the eyelets clear the block.
Technical & licence verification
Confirm included OTF/TTF/WOFF formats, full glyph tables and licence coverage on the live store page before batch production.
