Visual anatomy & craft review
Regalyn is a heavy retro brush-pen signature script: a thick loaded stroke that ends in tapered flicks, connected letters, a firm rightward slant and a low bounce that keeps the word close to the baseline. The weight closes the loops early, and the tapered flicks are the finest element. It needs roughly 26 mm for the tapered flick and the loaded stroke to read, and it is best in one deep ink on cream and kraft, or a single dark colour on a pale board where the stroke prints as a ridge.

A heavy signature script reads as a stamp pressed on a box rather than a designed logo, which is what a small maker wants on packaging. The loaded stroke holds at 30 mm, and one ink prints the box and the bag in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Box stamp 150 x 80 mm, word 40 mm with 8 mm flick clearance, 10 mm margins. Bag print 200 x 250 mm, word 50 mm, 15 mm margins. Card 85 x 55 mm, word 14 mm, 5 mm margins.
Pre-production check
On an 85 x 55 mm card the loaded stroke merges with its neighbour and the name reads as one thick ribbon. Keep the card word at 22 mm, and check one card before the run.
A signature script gives a market seller a note that reads as written rather than printed. The tapered flicks hold at 22 mm, and one ink prints the card, the label and the tag in one pass.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card A6, greeting 22 mm with 8 mm flick clearance, note 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Jar label 70 x 45 mm, word 12 mm, 4 mm die margin. Market tag 50 x 90 mm, word 12 mm with a 5 mm hole and 8 mm clear.
Pre-production check
A 70 x 45 mm jar label at 12 mm closes the tapered flick into a blob and the word reads as a smear on wet-strength paper. Raise the label word to 16 mm, and check one labelled jar before the batch.
A heavy brush signature reads as a painted farm-shop board rather than a printed advert, which is what an orchard wants in season. The stroke holds at 100 mm, and one ink prints the poster, the crates and the price cards in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Poster A3, word 100 mm with 10 mm flick clearance, details 28 mm, 18 mm margins. Crate print 300 x 200 mm, word 60 mm, 20 mm margins. Price card 105 x 75 mm, item 18 mm, price 24 mm.
Pre-production check
A 105 x 75 mm price card at 18 mm fills the loaded stroke and the item name reads as a bar under lamination. Raise the item to 24 mm, and laminate one card before the set.
