Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
Primalfang is a gnarled claw-slashed horror brush display: heavy strokes drawn with a split brush so the edges fray into claws, three parallel slash cuts through some counters and a rough spatter that reads as an animal strike. The slashes are the design and they fill into solid notches when the face is reduced. It needs roughly 32 mm for the slash and the claw edge to read, and it is best in one dark ink on white, or a single blood red on a matte dark ground.

A claw-slashed display reads as a torn bill rather than a cartoon monster, which is what a fright night wants at the gate. The slashes hold at 120 mm on a poster, and one red ink prints the poster and the tickets in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Poster A2, word 120 mm with 14 mm slash clearance, details 40 mm, 20 mm margins. Ticket 100 x 50 mm, word 12 mm, 4 mm perforation. Door sign 250 x 350 mm, word 60 mm, 20 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 100 x 50 mm ticket at 12 mm merges the slashes into solid notches and the word reads as a barbed bar. Raise the ticket to 18 mm, and print one ticket before the batch.
A claw display turns a horror issue into its own torn cover. The claw edges hold at 72 pt on a coated cover, and one ink keeps the fray crisp against a dark ground.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Cover 210 x 297 mm, title 72 pt with 12 mm slash clearance, cover lines 10/14 pt over two columns of 82 mm, 18 mm margins and a 12 mm head. Opener 56 pt. Section head 26 pt.
Pre-production check
At 26 pt on the section head the fray fills and the head reads as a blot. Keep the face at 44 pt and above, and proof one spread at 1:1.
A claw display gives an escape room the look of a clawed warning rather than a printed logo. The fray holds at 26 mm on a card, and one ink prints the card and the decal in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 85 x 55 mm, word 26 mm with 8 mm slash clearance, details 7/9 pt, 5 mm margins. Door decal 200 x 300 mm, word 60 mm, 20 mm margins. Sign 600 x 400 mm, word 90 mm, 25 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 200 x 300 mm decal at 60 mm traps air in the frayed gaps and the vinyl lifts at the claws. Use a wet-apply method, and apply one decal before the run.
