Niki Dorie is a tropical display serif with sharp triangular wedge serifs, geometric bowls and a playful hand-carved bounce that keeps the letters from looking like a corporate serif. The wedges are the signature and they need size — roughly 24 mm — before they read as carved points rather than accidental spikes. Weight is heavy and even, so the face holds a word on a sign or a garment, and it is at its best in one deep colour on a bright ground, or reversed out of a dark green.
