Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
Deya is a bamboo-style display face whose strokes are built from straight segments with hard elbow joints and cut ends, so a word reads as a lattice made of sticks rather than as a drawn letter. The joints are the character: each corner is a visible overlap, which means the face holds its look at any size but needs space between letters for the sticks to separate. It needs roughly 30 mm for the joints to read, and it is best in a natural green or a single dark ink on pale plaster, or in white on a deep ground.

Stick-lattice letterforms read as bamboo furniture, which is what a small spa or wellness room is selling. The straight segments print cleanly in one ink on a pale card, and the elbow joints give a short brand name its calm geometry without an illustration.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 85 x 55 mm, name 10 mm, role 5.5 pt, 5 mm margins and 4 mm clear of the trim. Label 70 x 45 mm, name 12 mm, 4 mm die margin. Sign 600 x 200 mm, word 90 mm, 40 mm margins and 20 mm frame clearance.
Pre-production check
A 10 mm spa card closes the 1 mm gap between two sticks and the letter reads as a bar. Keep the name at 12 mm or above, and check one printed card at final size before the run.
Bamboo lattice lettering reads as a tropical resort rather than a hotel chain, which is what a beach club wants at the pool. The straight segments hold in vinyl at 200 mm, and the open joints let a pale word read against a pale wall.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Sign 900 x 400 mm, word 160 mm, 60 mm margins and 25 mm frame clearance. Menu 210 x 297 mm, sections 20 mm, items 9/12 pt, 15 mm margins. Towel tag 40 x 70 mm, word 8 mm, hole 4 mm with 6 mm clear card.
Pre-production check
A pool sign under water reflections loses a thin stick at 160 mm and the letter looks broken. Keep the segment thickness above 6 mm, and check one sign at the pool in daylight before opening.
Lattice letterforms read as a trellis in a garden, which is what a plant nursery paints on a board. The open construction prints in one ink on timber, and the straight joints cut as a plotter stencil for a repeated label.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Sign 900 x 600 mm, word 170 mm, 60 mm margins and 25 mm frame clearance. Label 40 x 60 mm, name 6 mm, 3 mm margins. Card 105 x 148 mm, heading 16 mm, details 8/11 pt.
Pre-production check
A 6 mm plant label cannot hold a 1 mm joint gap and the name prints as a solid stick. Use a plain plant-label sans and keep this face for signs above 90 mm, checking one label pushed into a pot.
