Scale-filled outlined display
Marmaid is a rounded outlined display on an underwater scene: heavy caps drawn as a light face with a white contour, filled with fine scale patterns and small marine shapes, in a gradient of teal, lilac and coral against a photographed reef.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The word spans the plate and the face is a novelty alphabet: each capital is a light shape with a heavy contour, filled with scales and dotted with small shells and fish, so the word reads as a shoal at a glance. That construction sets a size floor, because the scales and the small creatures close when the letters shrink, and the plate sets the word large enough that each detail is visible. The reef behind it is staging, and it works because the contour separates the letters from the busy background. The two formats named beneath are product copy. Because the fill is busy and the palette is wide, the face suits a shirt or a poster rather than a small label, and the plate is honest about that by showing it at display size only.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Marmaid’s stroke geometry.
A scale-filled display sets a swimming theme in the lettering, and the contour keeps the letters separate against any shirt colour.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 240 mm chest graphic: the greeting at 55 mm cap height, the year at 28 mm, and three inks on a light shirt. Keep the smallest detail at 4 mm and place the graphic 80 mm below the collar.
Pre-production check
Check the screen at actual mesh, where a 4 mm detail can fill; simplify the fill. Wash-test one shirt and confirm the contour stays closed after five cycles.
A marine display reads at distance as colour, which suits a summer event where the sign is seen across a pool through splashing water.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A2 print: the greeting at 90 mm cap height, the details in a 20 mm sans, and the address at 10 mm. Keep 28 mm margins and print three colours on a light stock.
Pre-production check
Check the A2 at four metres, where the fill can merge into a gradient; keep the contour above 2 mm. Confirm the 10 mm address reads at arm's length and that the title clears the trim.
A themed display marks a swim school on a window, and the outlined letters stay legible over a busy poolside wall or a tiled interior.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Cut 700 by 300 mm vinyl: the name at 110 mm cap height, the hours in a 20 mm sans, and a 4 mm contour. Keep 22 mm margins, apply to a clean pane and simplify the scales before cutting.
Pre-production check
Check the cut at 110 mm, where a 4 mm contour can tear; widen it to 6 mm. Confirm the 20 mm hours read at two metres and that the fill survives the weeding step.
