Casual cursive marker lettering with a heavy sticker outline
Maple Mingle is a playful cursive face in which the letters run together in a marker hand and a heavy white outline wraps each word, so a short phrase reads as a cut sticker rather than as handwriting.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The m keeps three uneven arches, the a closes a round bowl, the p drops a wide bowl, the l rises on a slanted stem, the e turns a light eye and the n repeats the arch, all at a marker weight with rounded ends, a bouncy baseline and a contour drawn around the whole word. The contour is the character: it treats the phrase as one object, which is why the sample sets two stacked words in two colours with a cut edge. Because the shapes are solid, the face holds from 26 pt and cuts cleanly in card. The pink ground, the small monogram badge and the two caption lines are presentation; the two coloured phrases are the face.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Maple Mingle’s stroke geometry.
The heavy white outline gives a cutting file its own margin, and the marker strokes stay rigid at 45 mm in card on a cake.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Cut a 170 mm topper: set the phrase at 45 mm, cut on the outer contour only, and keep every stroke joined so the word does not fall into pieces on the cake.
Pre-production check
Cutting each stroke separately leaves loose letters; check the path and keep the contour closed as one shape.
The friendly cursive suits a classroom label, and the marker weight holds a first name at 22 pt on a laminated strip in one ink.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 90 by 40 mm strip: set the name at 22 pt, keep 5 mm of clear border, and laminate with a matte pouch so the rounded ends do not catch the light.
Pre-production check
A glossy pouch hides the marker detail on a small label; check the finished strip and use matte film.
The sticker outline reads as a printed cut, and the marker shapes hold a short phrase at 35 mm on a round die in two inks.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 50 mm round sticker: set the phrase at 35 mm, keep the outline at 2 mm all round, and leave 5 mm inside the die so the contour stays whole at the edge.
Pre-production check
An outline that reaches the die edge gets cut through; check the sticker sheet and centre the phrase on the circle.
