Crisp hairline serifs shine on stationery, foil stamping, and packaging; add slight offset for small decals.
Visual anatomy & craft review
Lamire Modern is an ultra-light editorial serif with tall stature, whisper hairlines and sweeping diagonal ligatures that cross from one letter to the next. The contrast is extreme, so the face needs roughly 30 mm before it survives in print, and the ligatures require the letters to be set as designed rather than adjusted with kerning. It reads as fashion typography rather than a book face, and it is at its best in one colour on a smooth coated stock where the hairlines stay continuous.

Whisper hairlines read as a couture mark, which is what a small fashion label wants on a tag. Diagonal ligatures give a short name a signature without an ornament.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Tag 45 x 90 mm, word 10 mm, 4 mm eyelet clearance, 3 mm trim. Carton 55 x 140 x 30 mm, name 18 pt, legal 5.5 pt. Card 85 x 55 mm, name 9 pt, 6 mm margins.
Pre-production check
At 10 mm the ligature hairline is about 0.1 mm and disappears on uncoated stock, so the word reads as broken. Print on coated board only, or set that tag in a heavier cut and keep the light style for the carton.
An ultra-light serif reads as quiet luxury, which suits a modern gallery wedding. The ligatures let long names stay tight without looking condensed.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invitation 120 x 180 mm, names 28 pt, details 9/14 pt, 18 mm margins. Menu 120 x 210 mm, header 14 pt, dishes 9/13 pt. Card 90 x 50 mm, name 9 pt, table 4 pt.
Pre-production check
Invitations are printed on heavy cotton stock and whisper hairlines fill there. Request a press proof on the actual stock before committing, and step up a weight if the contrast collapses.
Extreme contrast reads as a magazine title, which is what a fashion or art publication is buying. The diagonal ligatures give a cover a graphic accident that holds a plain photograph.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Cover 210 x 297 mm, title 96 pt, cover lines 10/14 pt, 20 mm margins. Art book 240 x 300 mm, title 60 pt, captions 9/13 pt. Label 100 x 60 mm, object 10 pt, data 7 pt.
Pre-production check
A web-offset run drops hairlines under 0.1 mm and the title looks cut. Confirm the press and the coated grade, set a 0.12 mm floor, and check one printed signature before the full run.
